A lecture on "World Peace and the Unity of All Religions" and Q&A session with the Tibetan monks from Tashi Kyil Monastery.
Labrang Tashi Kyil, located in eastern Tibet, was one of the largest monasteries destroyed during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. In 1967, a group of exiled monks arrived in India and rebuilt their monastery in Dehradun, India. Six monks from Tashi Kyil Monastery, Dehradun, India have been touring the United States to educate the public about the culture and Buddhist practices of Tibet. Currently over 120 monks live and study at Tashi Kyil Monastery, observing monastics rules and conduct, and respected by the local community. Learn more at https://tashikyil.org/.
Please note that the Bhikshus are monastics and not entertainers and therefore will not present a cultural pageant. Their programs are reflections of who they are — Tibetan Buddhist Bhikshus. Please respect their identities and respective programs.
