An evening of wine tasting + a poetry reading to support Writers in Residence and celebrate the release of its most recent chapbooks. A portion of all drink tickets & retail sales during the event will be donated to Writers in Residence. Chapbooks will be available for purchase during the event. Writers in Residence teaches creative writing to youth who are incarcerated to empower their voices and assist in their re-entry into society. Writers in Residence works with teaching artists and volunteers from several Northeast Ohio colleges to touch the lives of hundreds of youth each year. It also offers a mentoring program to youth after their release from detention.
