Book Art Installation Opening – Dawn Tekler & Nick Perry

Along with the March edition of Walkabout Tremont, join us for a reception celebrating our new permanent art installation, a collaboration between visual artist Dawn Tekler and our own Nick Perry that was created using more than 3,000 books.Tekler earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The Cleveland Institute of Art. Her gallery at W.78th Street Studios (Suite 113) is open every 3rd Friday of the month from 5 – 9pm and other days by appointment. Perry enjoys building things. Described as a “literary racketeer” by many, Nick moves with jarring quickness and can sell ice cubes to eskimoes. Additionally, he is exactly 111 years to the date younger than Harry Houdini.

Friday we’ll unveil the installation’s name, discuss the story behind its creation and celebrate its completion.
